Make it Monday!

I'm so excited for this week's challenge!!!!  Why?  Because we have our "old" friend Meljen's back as our sponsor!  I love these adorable images!  And right now, you can get 25% off ALL Christmas Colored Digis!  That makes getting those last minute Christmas cards out super easy!  And every single Friday there are new images, can you believe it????  Just awesome!

Don't forget, Make it Monday is always an open paper challenge!  And I know how much we all love paper!!!!  (But we're not addicted...oh no...we can quit any time...yup!)

Here is my creation, using Caroling Snowmen:

They're so cute!

Now, onto my Pick of the Week!  Honestly, I consider myself a fairly decent "colorer" of images.  But every once in awhile, I am just blown away by someone's talent.  (Usually these ladies are on the Make it Crafty DT...led by Zoe, how could they NOT be amazing???)  And this week I was literally left speechless by this amazing creation from Kit and Clowder:

Isn't she colored perfectly???  I mean, the shadow on her leg, the horse...I could stare at it all day!!!

Don't forget, we're an open challenge so if you use paper this week on a project, be sure to link up with us at Make it Monday!!!!

Thanks for popping by!  Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Happy New Year!!!!

Heartbreak

Yesterday the most horrific act occurred against small, defenseless children and those who dedicated their lives to educating and protecting them.  As the mother of a first grader and kindergartner, it took everything I had not to run to the school yesterday and grab my children, just so I could hold them and tell them how much I loved them.  To know that there are parents who can no longer do this...well, it's just too much to bear.

If you have children who are asking questions, I have linked to a great site to help.  Here is another one too.

My thoughts and prayers are with all but especially with the parents of those 20 babies.

So, pretend it's cold (or maybe it is where you are!) and join us at Tilda's Town for our new challenge: Freezing Season!

Make it Monday!

What an exciting weekend...it was my husband's birthday, I took the girls to see  'The Nutcracker' and we saw some snow!!!  Not here, of course, but in Iowa there was a nice little dusting.  I'd forgotten how pretty is it!!!

But now I'm home and trying to catch up on 20 things at once, lol!

Things tend to get a little crazy this time of year but hopefully you will find time to create something with paper...and if you do, then you should link it up at Make it Monday!  It's always an open challenge, so long as you use paper!!!!

This week you can win a fabulous prize from one of my favorite sponsors, Bugaboo!!!

Ok, back to the post (lol!).  While commenting last week, I ran across this Christmas Mini Envelope Book Tutorial from Sarah's Little Snippets.   It was AMAZING!  I was going to create a calendar for Grandma B (shhh, don't tell anyone!  Lol!) but when I saw this, I changed my mind!  So here is my creation:
