Weekly challenge: purge!!!!

It's time for spring cleaning!!!!  The girls and I are setting out five bins today...one for cousin William, one for cousin Lucy, one for a garage sale, one for Goodwill and one for keeping.  My goal: by the end of the week, each bin shall be full!  I plan on (hahaha, sorry, I'm already laughing because I know how often "plan to" actually translates into an accomplished fact!) going through craft papers, my closet, the girls' closets' and shoe bin, toy bins, etc.  Wish me luck and if you have any purging ideas, please share them!!!!

Have a great week!

Rene :D

Hey, I actually accomplished something today!!!!

There's a dresser here somewhere...

And after...

Hey!  There it is!

Hi! Rene...I do sneaky purging..I collect all sorts of things, put them in bags and hide the bags, if nothing is claimed in 3 months I biff the bag...or take it to charity if it is playable with.
Works everytime...the charity shop loves me.Did it with my kids when they were little and do it now with G/kids....

Is there a women's shelter nearby that would take them? They are always accepting donations here. :)
Love what you're doing!

Well done Rene! I think you're brave even tackling the cleanout. I like Chrissy's idea of sneaky purging, only problem is that would work on everything except my craft stuff LOL
Good Luck

I don't have this problem in my house. My hubby is the complete opposite of a hoarder (not sure what you call them). I have to fight tooth and nail to keep anything, lol! The wardrobes in my place are so empty you can almost hear an echo, lol.

Oh Michelle, an echo? That's so funny...in mine you can get lost. I still have all my "work" clothes just in case I go back to the land of employed when the girls start school!

Let the older work clothes go. By the time you're ready to return to work the fashions will be out of style - wonderful excellent reason to buy new clothes!!!
