Make it Monday!

I am so excited for this week's Make it Monday post!!!!!  But first, don't forget this is an OPEN paper challenge!  Do you plan on using paper for a project this week???  Then link it up at Make it Monday for a chance at our fabulous prize...from our amazing sponsor Cupcake Cards and Crafts!

In addition, we have  a special sponsor!  Visions of Sugarplums...Lori Hairston and Lisa Minchler (funniest woman alive...don't try to drink coffee while reading her posts...just trust me on this one) are co-hosting a blog hop together!
* Lori is gifting a $20 Visa Card to a winner at MIM who comments on her VOSP links and mentions that they came over from MIM.
Winner will be announced on regular post day at MIM.

There will be many other opportunities for prizes, but in order to win the gift offered by Lori at MIM, participants MUST comment on her links and mention MIM, but they are also free to play along with all the other links as well.

Ok, back to the post (lol!).  While commenting last week, I ran across this Christmas Mini Envelope Book Tutorial from Sarah's Little Snippets.   It was AMAZING!  I was going to create a calendar for Grandma B (shhh, don't tell anyone!  Lol!) but when I saw this, I changed my mind!  So here is my creation:

 This is the front...

Open it and each page is a month with a birthday calendar and adorable picture inside!

This is the side and back...
And of course we took December because we're just so fabulous!  ;D

And this fabulous book was created with envelopes!!!!  Seriously, check out Sarah's tutorial!  It's amazing!  I have to make one for my mom now!  So much FUN!

Now for my POTW, an utterly stunning creation...simple yet fantatsic...from Angela at Just Monkeying Around...

 I just love it!!!!!

So, get paper happy and come join us at Make it Monday this week!  And happy DECEMBER!!!!

I love your album, it is really pretty and full of love. I love the big photo of one of your daughters with the leaf how clear and sweet is that. She will cherish this gift.
I see you like Lisa also, she is a hoot. It is fun to see what she comes up with everyday!

Rene, this is beautiful! and what a great idea to turn it into a calendar!! I love it :)
Thank you for the shout out :) I'm glad you liked my tutorial. Sorry I haven't been to visit you sooner...I've been desperately getting things ready for the school craft fair and blogging has been relegated to the bottom of the list :( I'd love to put a link to your calendar in my blog post if that's ok with you? I'm like a slug these past few days and I apologize for taking soooo long to get my butt over here, but I promise, mum is the word. If I see grammy in town, I won't udder or is that utter, I get those confused..a word! She's gonna freak! So cute!
Your POTW too...how smart is Angela..that's adorable. :)

p.s. I just spell checked and the correct choice would be utter. However, my udders are muzzled, so we're safe either way! ;) Bwahahahahaha...
