I know Sandy has bears and Michelle has kangaroos, but here in Missouri, this is all we get...I rescued this "little feller" from my neighbor's yard...put him near our pond where he happily dived right in!
love the rescue, you see lots of turtles venturing into the roads down here and people stop to get them back to the water. I once saw a man in new Mercedes, all dressed up (for here that's full lenght pants and button down collar and tie) stop his car and pick one up, he left his car door open and motor running while crossed the road, went down to the pond and back to his car. anyone could have driven off in his beautiful car but instead he just a few thumbs up from passersby.
